His journey within TriMet started as a bus operator, and his passion for transit led him to grow through roles such as rail operator, training assistant, and rail supervisor. Today, his experience and dedication are instrumental in supporting TriMet's mission of delivering safe and efficient public transit to the community.
Richard's strong connection to Portland, where he has lived for nearly four decades, enhances his insight into the needs of both transit users and operators. This unique perspective is reflected in his commitment to continuous improvement within TriMet's rail operations.
