Awards Program

The annual OPTC Awards Program recognizes excellence in the public transportation industry throughout Oregon. It is a tradition to recognize individuals and organizations that have made an outstanding contribution to the Oregon transportation industry at the annual conference. The OPTC Awards Program is an opportunity for you to help us honor these people and programs.

The 2008 Award Categories Are:

Outstanding Public Transportation Manager Award

This award honors a manager of a public transportation system who has made outstanding contributions to the public transportation industry. Download the nomination form >

Outstanding Public Transportation Board Member Award

This award honors an individual serving on the government board of a public transportation system who has made outstanding contributions to the public transportation industry. Download the nomination form >

Outstanding Public Transportation Business Member Award

This award honors an individual, employed by a public transportation business, who has made outstanding contributions to the public transportation industry. Download the nomination form >

Local Distinguished Service Award

This award honors a public transportation decision maker; elected or appointed official; or private citizen who has contributed to the public transportation industry on the local level through policy, legislative initiative, and leadership. Download the nomination form >

Innovation Award

This award honors a public transportation system that has demonstrated innovative concepts or effective problem-solving techniques not previously applied in the public transportation industry. Download the nomination form >

Attached are nomination forms for each of the categories. Please review each category and nominate the individual or organization that you believe exemplifies the established criteria. The award recipients will be selected by the Awards Committee made up individuals from the transportation industry. Awards will be presented at the OPTC Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, October 28 in Seaside. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, October 10, 2008.
